Personal data we process

Quinton House processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you have provided this data to us yourself.

Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • First and last name

  • Address details

  • Phone number

  • Email address

  • IP address

  • Other personal data you actively provide, for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence, or by telephone

  • Location data

  • Data about your activities on our website

  • Data about your browsing behaviour across different websites (for example because this company is part of an advertising network)

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have the consent of a parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in the online activities of their children to prevent data being collected about children without parental consent. Automated decision-making

Quinton House does NOT make decisions based on automated processing that could have (significant) consequences for individuals. This refers to decisions made by computer programmes or systems without any human involvement (such as a Quinton House employee).

How long we retain personal data

Quinton House does not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention periods for the following (categories of) personal data:

  • Reservation data: maximum 5 years

  • Data relating to website use and marketing campaigns: maximum 2 years

Sharing personal data with third parties

Quinton House does not sell your data to third parties and will only disclose it where necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into data processing agreements with companies that process your data on our behalf, to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality. Quinton House remains responsible for these processing activities.

To verify that the request has been made by you, we ask that you include a copy of your identity document with your request. Please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and citizen service number (BSN) in this copy, to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible and within four weeks.

How we secure personal data

Quinton House takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorised modification. If you believe your data is not properly secured or if there are indications of misuse, please contact our customer service or email info@quintonhouse.nl. Quinton House has taken the following measures to secure your personal data:

  • All data is stored exclusively in the cloud (and not locally), secured with strong passwords and two-factor authentication

  • Security software, including virus scanners and firewalls

  • TLS (formerly SSL): we transmit your data via a secure internet connection, which you can recognise by the 'https' prefix and the padlock icon in the address bar

  • DKIM, SPF, and DMARC are three internet standards we use to prevent you from receiving emails in our name that contain viruses, are spam, or are intended to obtain personal (login) data
