Marc

Owner

"In this special building, in this historic location, it wasn't hard to create a wonderful place. In our house, everyone is welcome to come together in a relaxed setting, to learn from each other or take steps on topics that matter. We're open to people and organizations who want to give their good ideas room to grow."

Sophie

Venue manager

"I like to start my day with a cappuccino and then I'm ready to welcome all our guests. I've gotten to know many of our clients well by now, and I'm always curious when we have new guests in the house. Whether you're organising a meeting or a larger conference: I'm happy to think along with you about the planning, details and the right approach. Questions or last-minute solutions? Call me!"

Frederique

Program manager

"I started as an interim venue manager and have been a permanent part of the team since 2026. Thanks to my interim role, I know Quinton House inside and out. Right now, I'm focused on developing our own inspiring programming around the themes of leadership, art, and science. Looking forward to meeting you!"

Emma

Event manager

"Organizing an event at Quinton House? Then I'm your contact person! I'm involved from the initial request all the way through to the moment the event actually takes place. With years of experience in hospitality, I can advise you well on what works, but I'm also happy to roll up my sleeves and help out on the floor when needed. Oh, and I'm also the team's Head of Technology. Always useful too."

A warm welcome

At the coffee bar, there is always a dedicated host to welcome everyone and guide them to the right rooms. Throughout the day, we are on hand for questions about the rooms, last-minute changes to the layout or whatever else comes up. And in between? Our team prepares the most wonderful breakboards with local sweet and savoury treats, brews fresh mint tea and pulls the perfect cappuccino. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave.

More than a venue

Quinton House is intimate in scale, and you sense it in everything. Not only in the historic house or the calm courtyard garden, but above all in the people who are here for you every day. We believe it’s the small things that make a difference. It’s the foundation of everything we do.

Our building at Nieuwegracht 60, by the Quintijnsbridge, dates from the 17th century. Once built as a grand home, later used as an orphanage, and after that it functioned as the home of the Molengraaff Institute for Private Law of Utrecht University and its successor OSR.

When the building became available, the wish was clear: keep its original meaning: a place for learning and meeting up. That is why, in 2021, we took the initiative to open this special location to other users. With six unique spaces, our own restaurant and a grand courtyard garden. The interior is contemporary with lightly classical touches. The atmosphere is homely, warm and easy-going. At Quinton House, you can be you.

Our sustainable choices

At Quinton House, we believe a good meeting is also a conscious one. Our building is entirely gas-free, and we use LED lighting wherever possible. There are solar panels on the roof. For our waste processing, we work with Oscar Circulair. Any leftover lunch goes to the Salvation Army.

The garden plays its part too. For the planting, we have deliberately chosen native plants that are good for insects, with plenty of room for birds to nest. The flowers in the rooms come exclusively from our own cutting garden or are silk: we no longer use greenhouse bouquets. Small choices, strong convictions.

Art from Utrecht

Together with Kunstuitleen Utrecht, we have filled the rooms with art, mainly created by Utrecht artists. Have you fallen in love with our art after a day in one of our rooms? Then you can simply buy it. In each room, you will find information about the art and the artist.
